  1. Increase Knowledgebase article edit window height

    We have several large knowledge base articles, and with an edit window that only shows about 7 lines of text, it is cumbersome to edit these articles.

    Would like to see the ability to expand the height of the edit window that used to exist in previous versions of IssueTrak.

  3. Dynamic KB search field in the SR.

    So that I can post KBs to the SR for a standard resolution. This would make it easier for standard resolutions.

  4. Knowledge Base Article Request Button

    Add a Knowledge Base Article request button so that users that don't have permissions to add/edit KB articles can send in a suggestion for a new KB article. It could direct the user to a web form where they could fill in the details for the article and would then send it to a specific user/group when the user submits the suggestion. Or it could create an issue when submitted and the issue could be assigned to the user/group that is responsible for maintaining the KB.

  5. API interaction with the Knowledge Base

    We would like to be able to create, edit, and update the knowledge base via the API. This would also include being able to upload and retrieve the attachments via this API call. This is an important feature if we need to start archiving data due to space limitations or the reaching the maximum number of files that can be stored in a given folder.

  8. Allow an option to designate required fields when adding/editing Articles.

    This would help force Article authors/editors to apply a "Restrict-To" permission for example as articles are added. This can help remind authors to review the permissions and help prevent from being published that are meant to be restricted.

  9. Make available the "Restrict To" options while adding a new Article.

    When adding a new Article for the first time, the "Restrict To" options are not available. Even if marked Private, this can still make the article visible to Users with that permission. Currently the article has to be created as a placeholder first, then later edited to implement the "Restrict To" permissions. This makes it a 2 step process.

  12. Knowledge Base Embedded Video/Flash

    The ability to embedded videos and/or flash in knowledge base articles would enhance the usability of the knowledge base.

  13. Knowledge Base Article length Limitations

    We have run into limitations on the length of the Knowledge base articles. The length of the article should be increased.

    Additionally the ability to add “Steps” or multiple “notes” to an article could also be used to increase the overall length of an article.

  14. I would Knowledge Base to Automatically Come Up When Submit a ticket

    I would like the knowledge base to have an option to be more automatic, When typing subject or description a popup with possible KB articles comes up on the screen. Today you have to click knowledge base, which if you forget to say open in new window, takes you away from the ticket. Our team rarely looks at the KBase I think because of this, yet I feel we have useful things in it.

  15. Make it so a Knowledge Base Article has a Unique Name

    Make the Naming for a Knowledge Base article to be unique , do not allow the exact same name for more than 1 article.
