  1. Allow attachments to be renamed

    We rely on screenshots and PDF attachments. But we need to be able to rename to appropriate titles based on the information in the screenshot. Often we receive screenshots from users that are simply named Image1.jpg. We need to be able to rename them inside the ticket.

  3. Ability to drag and drop attachments from an email in Outlook

    Files can only be dragged and dropped from the desktop or a folder. It would be very helpful if we could simply drag/drop an attachment from an email directly into IssueTrak.

  4. Allow images sent in an email to be appended in the notes.

    Images that are in the email are added to the issue as attachments, rather than being appended to the notes. There are times when a customer adds the image in the email, makes no reference to it because it's right in the email so we don't even know to check the attachments for the image. See ticket 100438.

  5. allow users to add attachments when adding a new note into a case

    When we are updating cases with notes, there should be an option to attach files at the same time (much like this site does when creating a new suggestion). That way, we don't have to update case notes first, then go back and add an attachment afterwards.

  6. Add ability to create a brief description while attaching a file

    When adding an attachment to a case, it would be beneficial if we could add a brief note along with the attachment. This could describe the attachment or serve as a description field as to why the attachment was added.

  7. Ability to automatically include attachments to e-mail notifications (Upon Submission or Issue Assignment)

    Our end users and vendors only user e-mail to submit and update issues. When we get e-mail alerts regarding new issues or when we assign issues, the e-mail alert recipients do not get copies of the issue attachments unless we 1) View the Issue, 2) Select "Email Issue" and 3) Select "Include Attachments".

  8. Ability to upload Attachments from Issue Submit screen

    The following change would be nice to see in Issuetrak:

    Uploading Attachments from Issue Submit screen vs. Issue View or Update screen is different. Would be nice if this functionality was uniform across the product.

  10. Indicate who added an attachment in the Attachments Section

    In the Attachments section, the ability to see who attached a document. There is a date and time indicator, so I think it would also be helpful to know who added it.

  12. Being able to place attachements for locations.

    We would like to use attachments on the locations screen. For an IT company, it would be beneficial to search a location and pull up attachments of wiring closets among other things.

  13. allow submitter to open attachments from the email that is delivered

    At the moment, as an admin responding to requests, I often attach screenshots. It would be great if the submitter could open the attachment from the email, rather than logging into their account.

  14. provide the ability to select which attachments you want sent with an email.

    We have a need to attachment many different documents to a ticket. However, we don't always want to send all the attachments to the customer. Instead of deleting the ones we don't want to send, we would like the ability to select only certain files to send. We want to keep all attachments on the tickets for future reference (pictures, quotes, etc.)

  17. Add the ability to create folders to load attachments into. We use for product development and can have many different file categories

    Before uploading an attachment be able to add a folder to upload the files to that can be used by the group members associated to the issue.

  19. Add the ability to restrict access to attachments

    Users need to be able to set a restriction on an attachment, so that a reference attachment can be added to an issue but is not viewable to all users who have access to the issue.

    Having the ability to control which attachments can be emailed from the site would also be useful.
